What Is the iRobot Roomba 880?

Image via Amazon
The 880 model is the very first of the 800-series for the brand. They now have expanded to the 900-series and beyond, but the 800-series stays best within the appropriate price range for typical homeowners.
The iRobot Roomba 880 model is a robotic vacuum that uses rubber extractors instead of brushes that gets up more debris with less trouble, has a larger dust bin than previous models, and it requires minimum maintenance on the owner’s part. It’s a well-rounded, capable, self-sufficient cleaning bot with a powerful suction and ability to get into many tight spaces.
Product Specs
The iRobot Roomba 880 is nearly four inches and nearly fourteen inches wide while weighing over eight pounds. It has a black finish with an easy to use interface and many different types of ways to control it. There are rubber brushes and suction working in combination to give the best cleaning experience money can buy.

It also has accessories like Virtual Walls and the Lighthouse that’ll either allow it to travel around your home before returning to base or stay in a singular room.

Conclusion
The iRobot Roomba 880 model gets five stars across the board. It’s able to make easy transitions between different flooring types, gets under and around most obstacles, has fantastic sensors to know exactly where it is and where it’s going, and cleans like a dream. Pet hair can sometimes get caught in the rubber extractors but not as often as other models which get hair stuck in brushes almost all the time.
The only real downside about the iRobot Roomba 880 is the price tag. For a robotic vacuum that does as good a job as the 880 model, the price really isn’t anything to worry about. If you’re looking for your first robotic vacuum, then this one is a great product to start out with. However, if you’re on the fence about a robotic vacuum cleaner and just want to try one, maybe starting with a cheaper model might be more your speed as long as you keep in mind that there are better ones out there. While caught up in your shopping for a robotic vacuum, don’t forget to keep the warranty in mind as well because they vary and can be a very important aspect of the purchase.
