A19 Bulb: Our Complete Review

best a19 bulb

Anyone who has ever changed a lightbulb is familiar with the classic pear-shaped bulb and can usually picture them in their mind as soon as a lightbulb is mentioned. An LED A19 bulb has this same pear shape and has a diameter of 2.4 inches. The way to know this is by its letter and number combination. “A” represents the pear shape and 19 represents the bulb’s diameter at its widest point: 19 divided by 8 equals 2.4 inches. When new, energy-efficient lighting was developed, many of the LED and CFL bulbs retained this classic shape of an A19 bulb to ensure a proper fit. While these bulbs may look similar to their incandescent counterparts, that is where the similarity ends. The LED A19 bulbs that replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb can push up to 800 lumens on only 9 watts of energy and last up to 25,000 hours. That is impressive, to say the least.

In this article, we will introduce you to our featured product, the Fluxtronics A19 LED light bulb, as well as a few other bulbs on the market to see how they compare.
